How I started my entrepreneur journey

Since I was a full-time student at the moment, I was only having an unemployment stipend and my ex cleared out the common accounts when I ran away with the kids. Leaving me without any spare cash. I had been in a marriage where earnings were put on one pit, with no money for own use (he did have, but I didn't know this until our separation). I was determined to do things differently whether getting into a new relationship or not. I wanted to be able to not be liable on others. I never had that in me, but I was forced in such financial vulnerable position.

With living at my mother's with my children, I was expected to pay not only the food we ate, but also pay a type of rent to cover expenses, even though she knew I was studying. I quickly searched a job and it was a few months later, and in the middle of my divorce, that  I came across Emmie. She introduced me to a freedom based business. A business made around a high ticket product, a water ioniser in this case. About the product I was already convinced. It contributes to my health journey and thus was it a no brainer when it comes to the product. After hearing the possible earnings, I was amazed with the high compensation and bonuses along the way, and the inbuilt retirement- and heritage plan. I signed up almost immediately.

I had been in low ticket MLM's and pyramid schemes. All of them resolved around one thing: making the top tier the richest and not being valued when you didn't hit the set targets.

This already felt so different. I was lead through a webclass, signed up and went through the discovery process where I came to know more about the business, the product and the community. Everything was laid out so organised. I directly had a feeling of belonging. I also had a 1:1 call with Emmie. It was a real person, a single mom of two who built her business while divorcing and moving across country. There was so much connection. Still there is! She has become a true and close friend, though we're in different continents.

I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to do this as I don't have any educational background except my high school diploma, but non of that mattered. Anyone can do this. You are taught everything you need to know, step by step. I also didn't have a big following on social media, yet again that isn't an issue as you run your business however you want, and the following will come. I was a bit skeptical about the latter, but after a little less than running my business 1 year I increased my following with 902%, just by implementing what was taught!

Something so valuable in our community is the attention which is put into mental health and mindset. Something that I, after my whole personal history, treasure a lot.

There has not been 1 day that I regretted starting this business, whereas the low-ticket businesses I quit after feeling that there was only attention for the big earners/achievers.
